Michael
Jackson’s former bodyguard says he’s Blanket’s father
32-year-old
Matt Fiddes is launching legal action to prove he is the biological father
of Jackson’s 10-year old child, Blanket (Prince Michael II).
Matt first
claimed he was Blanket’s real father in 2010, but had no legal or medical back
up. Now, he says he’s ready to back it up with a DNA test, telling the Daily
Star ‘I am going to lodge my DNA and formerly ask the Jacksons for access. I
want visitation rights’.
In his
conversation with the tabloid, Matt said he spoke with the late musician in
2002 when he visited him in Berlin after he dangled the then nine month old
Blanket off a hotel balcony.
He claims
Michael Jackson confirmed using his sperm in producing the child in their
meeting in Berlin, saying ‘He is my child Matt, but I used your sperm in
producing him.’
The former
bodyguard said Jackson offered him £500,000 for the sperm, but he turned
down the offer and donated it instead.
Fiddes added
‘All I want is access to my child, to take him out, and spend some time
together. My mum is dying of cancer. I want her to see Blanket more than
anything.’
The
ex-bodyguard already has three other children, but insists he donated the sperm
to Jackson in 2001, after the musician told him he wanted an ‘athletic child’
