Woman
Sues Cheating Husband over Broken Bed
A Zimbabwe woman is suing her husband after his affairs
with a string of women broke the couple’s marital bed.
Nonkazimulo Dube has asked a magistrate to dissolve her
marriage, and also wants $200 to replace the broken bed, bought just last year,
it has been reported.
Dube, from the city of Bulawayo, said in an affidavit
that she caught her husband Talent Tafara romping with other women on two
occasions at their family home.
She consulted a carpenter over her damaged bed and was
told that “judging by the way it was broken, something excessive might have
been happening,” according to the affidavit.
In court papers, Dube said her life has been “a living
hell” since getting married eight years ago.
“He broke the bed not having sex with me but another
woman… I cannot take this anymore,” she said.
“I do not want him anymore, what I want is for him to
restitute me for the damaged bed.”
Tafara, in his own affidavit, admitted to the affairs and
asked Dube to take him back — but said he had no money to buy her a new bed.
“I have caused her so much pain but I would love to
reconcile with her. I messed up but I believe that everyone deserves a second
chance,” he said.
“She said that she was going to sue me for breaking the
bed but the bottom line is that I do not have money.”
