IGP to be honored at ADRA 2014 

The Inspector General of Police of Ghana, Mr Mohammed Ahmed Alhassan has confirmed he will attend and receive his award at the African Development Recognition Awards due to be held on Sunday, 21st December, at the Press Centre, of the International Conference Centre in Accra Ghana.
The Inspector General of Police was nominated and selected for African Development Recognition’s Man of the Year Award 2014.
Over the years, the award industry has seen different award schemes, from academic, corporate, agricultural, entertainment, hospitality down to sporting award events which acknowledge and award individuals who have excelled in different endeavours in their careers and lives. 
No awards scheme exists to acknowledge outstanding humanitarians, Africans in the Diaspora, corporations and indigenous manufacturers who have given their best to improve the state of our continent, Africa or to award individuals who have excelled in different fields with their talents and in creating their own businesses.
Pleasures Magazine has therefore designed the perfect awards scheme to acknowledge the efforts which individuals and groups in our various organizations put in towards development, hence the creation of “African Development Recognition Awards”.                   
In a press release about the award scheme, the publisher of Pleasures Magazine, Deacon Ola Babatunde stated;

The former president Jerry John Rawlings is among the awardees for this year as well as the National Chief Imam of Ghana, Sheikh Dr. Nuhu Osman Sharubutu. CEO of Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, Mrs Mawuena Trebarh, and the former Central Bank Governor of Nigeria, Professor Charles Soludo. Ghana’s First Lady Lordina Mahama, Apostle Dr. Kwadjo Safo Kantaka, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, founder of Glorious Wave Church Int., Senator Ojudu Babafemi, Hon. Hassan Ayariga, Ex Super Eagle player Nwankwo Kanu, Soni Irabor, Alhaji Rasheed Nayak.
Creative Director of Fashion For Life, Mrs Funmilola Adewole Lawson, Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation, Chief Ositadinma Benjamin Chidoka, Barr. Mrs. Uju Ken Ohanenye, Ghallywood actress Roselyn Ngissah and her Nollywood counterpart, Benita Nzeribe. Chairman of Atlas Petroleum International Limited, Prince Arthur Eze, Dr. Bernard Afresa Taylor,  among other prominent personalities from Ghana and Nigeria.
The awards ceremony which promises to be a soiree not to be missed is expected to attract a high of dignities, some of whom are Eze Ndi Igbo Ghana,  HRM Eze Dr. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu, Eze Ohazurume 1, Nigerian High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E Amb.Ademola Oluseyi Onafowokan, South African High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E Amb.Jeanette Ndhilovu, H.E Amb.
